Head coach Jesse Marsch has been sacked by Leeds. Leeds currently sits 17th in the Premier League with just four wins in 20 games this season. They were beaten 1-0 at Nottingham Forest on Super Sunday to make it seven games without a win.

“Leeds United can confirm head coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties,” said the club in a statement.

“Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season. Rene Maric,Cameron Toshack and Pierre Barrieu will also leave the club.

“We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future. The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days.”

Mount Rejects Chelsea Offer On New Deal

Mason Mount has rejected Chelsea’s offer of a new contract and is unhappy at the terms that were put on the table, the Daily Mail reports. The 24-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal and wants to treble his £80,000-a-week wages, but the club are reportedly offering significantly less than they are paying expensive recruits like Raheem Sterling. The newspaper adds that, having spent more than £300m on players in January alone, academy graduates like Mount are keen they are seen as an important part of the future and not taken for granted.
