Aubameyang to Chelsea: Current State Of Deal, The Amount Barca Wants & Why He May Be Bad Business

According to reports, Chelsea has shown interest in signing former Arsenal star player PierreAubameyang from Barcelona in the ongoing summer transfer window. Recall that the Gabonese international joined the Spanish Laliga giant as a free agent during the January transfer window.

✓ Current state of the deal;

Following a report from an Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, the West London club Chelsea has scheduled a new round of talks with Pierre Aubameyang’s camp this week.

It is understood that Chelsea’s new owner, Todd Boehly wants to know the conditions of the deal also on personal terms, then he will be ready to submit a bid to Barcelona for Pierre Aubameyang’s services this summer.

The amount Barca wants;

The Catalonia club Barcelona is requesting around €30m from Chelsea on Pierre Aubameyang’s deal in the ongoing summer transfer window. Although, Barcelona’s head coach Xavi Hernandez is still pushing to keep Aubameyang at the club.

Why Aubameyang might not be a good signing for Chelsea;

It is quite understandable that Chelsea is in dear need of a natural striker this summer after Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner left for Inter Milan and RB Leipzig respectively, but signing Aubameyang from Barcelona could be bad business for the West London club.

Recall that the Gabonese international left Arsenal for Barcelona in January and has spent only six months with the Spanish Laliga giant. Failing to impress Xavi Hernandez in the training session proves that he can’t bench Robert Lewandowski for the attacking spot in the team’s starting XI.

Chelsea should look as well or try to groom their current attacking options like Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic, and Broja to play alongside each other.
