“We have things to offer, we are confident’: Werner opens up on Rudiger potentially staying at Chelsea

Antonio Rudiger’s contract situation has been spoken about by fans and the manager, but now his Germany and Chelsea teammate Timo Werner has addressed it.
“I would be happy if he stays,” Werner told Sky Sports Germany. He can improve every team. There are still a lot of good central defenders [for other teams to buy]!
“Rudi plays incredible. As a free agent he could choose where he goes! Let’s wait to see what becomes the reality. Of course, we are confident.
“We have things to offer and he is the player he is in a Chelsea shirt and in a Chelsea environment. I think he knows it very well.”
Rudiger has clearly become a leader in this team and his presence would be extremely important for the squad, so the hope is that Chelsea can sort a deal out.
