Two Aspects That Chelsea’s Ngolo Kante Should Work On As A Midfielder

The French international, Ngolo Kante has been under criticisms since Chelsea was eliminated from the ongoing UEFA Champions League games by Real Madrid. Chelsea were going to have an incredible comeback before goals from Rodrigo and Karim Benzema silenced the Blues.
Ngolo Kante was heavily criticized as he was responsible for the two goals scored by Real Madrid. The first goal scored was because his throw pass was intercepted by Real Madrid’s player, and it resulted in a goal. The second goal came because he did not go for the pass given to him. This has led to a couple of criticisms. As a matter of fact, Ngolo Kante needs to improve his performance lately because this is not the Ngolo Kante that we have always praised.
There are certain aspects of his game that he needs to work on as a player, this will be discussed below.
1. Ngolo Kante has to work on his ball control. Ngolo Kante is one player who does not know how to slow the pace of the game for his team. When you see Jorginho with the ball, you will know that he is more composed with the ball than Ngolo Kante. Being confident with the ball will put fears in your markers because they can’t predict what is on your mind. Ngolo Kante is good, but he needs to be better when it comes to holding the ball.
2. Ngolo Kante has to step up his passes into the box. He is mostly used as an attacking midfielder by Thomas Tuchel, but how many goal assists does he have in a season? As an attacking midfielder, he has to have direct involvement with goals. He should score goals or make goal assists. When it comes to tackling, he is good and also good with interceptions, but Ngolo Kante should be a better passer into the opponent’s box.
