Renowned for his exceptional skills, Paez was hailed as the standout talent of the 2022 Next Generation Trophy, a prestigious youth tournament held in Austria. Additionally, he played a crucial role for Ecuador in the Under-17 Copa America, where he captained his team and showcased his abilities with two goals and six assists.

According to El Universo, the talented midfielder has an impressive record, having scored an impressive 39 goals in 106 games between 2018 and 2022. Paez has consistently d showed his abilities throughout the various youth teams of Independiente del Valle.
