Chelsea to rival Liverpool for Romeo Lavia
Chelsea are thought to be eyeing a move to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, with news of Ngolo Kante’s expected departure coming earlier this evening.
According to Football Insider, The Blues are ready to launch a bid in the region of £45-50 million, with Man City’s reported £40 million buy-back clause only coming into effect next year for the young Belgian midfielder.
Chelsea open talks for Neymar
This could be one the biggest stories around during the summer transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering selling Neymar as the Ligue 1 champions attempt to refresh their squad. Linked with Manchester United and Newcastle, it could now be Chelsea who make the first move. Le10 Sport suggest the Blues have opened talks, with former manager Mauricio Pochettino having worked with him in the French captial.
Chelsea join Veiga race
Chelsea have joined the fight for Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga, according to reports. The Guardian say the 21-year-old – also a target for Liverpool, Newcastle and Barcelona – is in Mauricio Pochettino’s thoughts as he builds a new midfield. The Blues missed out on Manuel Ugarte and are now moving on to other targets, and it is claimed they are ready to ‘push hard’ to sign Veiga. Veiga has a release clause worth £34million in his contract and so is affordable. Pochettino and Chelsea are also keen on signing Brighton’s Moises Caicedo in tandem.
