Chelsea are thought to be eyeing a move to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, with news of Ngolo Kante’s expected departure coming earlier this evening.
According to Football Insider, The Blues are ready to launch a bid in the region of £45-50 million, with Man City’s reported £40 million buy-back clause only coming into effect next year for the young Belgian midfielder.

The Guardian say the 21-year-old – also a target for Liverpool, Newcastle and Barcelona – is in Mauricio Pochettino’s thoughts as he builds a new midfield. The Blues missed out on Manuel Ugarte and are now moving on to other targets, and it is claimed they are ready to ‘push hard’ to sign Veiga.
