Three Players Who Impressed In Chelsea’s Thrashing Of Burnley

Chelsea put behind the disappointment of losing the Carabao Cup final to Liverpool by thrashing Burnley 4-0 on Saturday at the Turf Moor.
After an uneventful first-half, Chelsea emerged from the break firing on all cylinders and they put four goals past Sean Dyche’s men. Here are the three players who impressed in the encounter.
Reece James:
Making his first premier league start since his return from injury, Reece James put in an excellent performance to prove that he is one of the best right-backs in England. He scored the first goal of the game by hammering the ball from the edge of the box, before assisting Kai Havertz for another goal. It was a truly splendid display from the Englishman on his return to the team.
Kai Havertz:
The German attacker is proving on consistent basis on why he should be the Blues’ first choice attacker ahead of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner. He followed up his good display against Liverpool with a better performance against Burnley. Despite coming up against strong physical defenders, Havertz scored twice and his excellent link-up play allowed the likes of Christian Pulisic and Reece James to join the attack. Kai Havertz has now scored 4 goals in all competitions since the start of February.
Christian Pulisic:
The American put behind recent criticism to play a key role in Chelsea’s defeat of Burnley. He set up Kai Havertz’s first goal and also found the net himself later on. The Burnley defence found it difficult to cope with his incisive running and pace throughout the game.
