Here Are 3 Transfer Targets Chelsea Have Already Missed Out On Signing This Summer

Chelsea have already suffered some set back in the transfer market this summer, which was as a result of ban imposed on the club as regards the sanction on Roman Abramovich, and the prolonged sales process of the club, which restricted them from making any formal talks with their transfer target this summer.
Now, Chelsea are free to make transfers of players this summer, after the takeover of the club has being completed, but they have already missed out on some top transfer target that they could have tried to sign this summer.
So in this article, we will be writing on the three Chelsea transfer target that they might have missed out on signing this summer.
1. Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland was a primary transfer target for Chelsea last summer, as they did all they could trying to convince the striker to move to the club last season, but he remained at Borussia Dortmund for a further season, before Chelsea ended up signing Romelu Lukaku.
The Thomas Tuchel’s side could have tried again this summer to enter transfer talks for the player, so as to rival Manchester City for his signature, but the sanction didn’t give Chelsea the opportunity to do so.
Erling Haaland have now agreed to join Manchester City this summer, and would be playing for the Chelsea rivals next season.
2. Ivan Perisic
Chelsea were heavily linked with the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer on a free transfer, as reports from some sources claims that the deal was close to completion, but the winger decided on signing for Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham instead.
The 33 year old was supposed to be a backup for Ben Chilwell in the left wing back position next season, but Chelsea miss out on his signature, as he opted to join his former manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham.
3. Aurelien Tchouameni
Chelsea have been linked with Aurelien Tchouameni since the January transfer window, and have sent their scout to watch the Monaco midfielder severally, hoping to make a bid for him this summer.
It now appears that Real Madrid would be the next destination of Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, as reports claims that the midfielder have agreed to join the Spanish giant, and has already told his teammates about his priority to join Real Madrid this summer, amid the interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.
Although, Real Madrid and Monaco are yet to agree a transfer fee for the midfielder, but the deal for Aurelien Tchouameni to join Real Madrid this summer is expected to go through.
