Dembele To Chelsea: How Well Would The Frenchman Fit In At Chelsea?

Published

While Antonio Rudiger bid his goodbye to Chelsea, after signing for Spanish giants Real Madrid, Chelsea have quickly reached an agreement with Ousmane Dembele on a five year deal, with signature and medicals the one things yet to be done.

In just a season Dembele played at Borussia Dortmund, he was phenomenal but in five seasons played now at Barcelona, Dembele is yet to hit the mark, with injuries, bad run of form all derailing the French forward potential at Barcelona.

How well then would the winger fit in at Chelsea, with Thomas Tuchel formation of (3-4-2-1) or (3-4-3). Dembele can play on either wings due to his ability to be able to use both foots efficiently, but with Tuchel tactics at Chelsea would the player be able to fully live up to the bidding.

Chelsea have Kai Havertz, Callum Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Pulisic and Timo Werner, all who can play in any of this formation, Tuchel decides to use.

Perhaps, a change in formation might come in, once Dembele arrives at the club, but Chelsea would have to be careful of how Dembele is handled at the club, at his best he can quite productive, as evidently seen in this past seasons campaign, where he contributed 13 assist in the La Liga, but also at the same time, Dembele at his worst could prove to become a liability.

It’s all up to the manager on how best to utilize this players, and should Tuchel hope to avoid another player expressing discomfort about his positioning in the team, a very good strategy has to be in place for Dembele.
