Chelsea to finalise the deal for €80m La Liga star after Todd Boehly’s takeover is complete

Chelsea are keen on finalising a transfer agreement for Jules Kounde as soon as their ongoing takeover is complete.
The Blues are currently banned from any transfer or contract activity amid the sanctions on previous owner Roman Abramovich.
However, the situation should change in the coming weeks. Todd Boehly’s consortium are on the verge of taking control of the club.
Amidst this, The Guardian claims that the Blues are determined to sign Kounde, having missed on his services last summer.
The Blues agreed personal terms with the centre-back last year, but failed to negotiate a suitable transfer fee with his club Sevilla.
The La Liga outfit wanted his €80m release clause to be paid in full. The Blues were reluctant to offer more than €60m for him.
It is now revealed that Sevilla are willing to negotiate. Chelsea will prioritise Kounde’s arrival as soon as their takeover is official.
The west London giants are also interested in Villarreal’s Pau Torres.
