Chelsea star Reece James sends message to Mykhailo Mudryk amid Arsenal injury worry

Chelsea fans will be hoping to see Reece James and Mykhailo Mudryk start against Arsenal this weekend
James sends Mudryk message after Chelsea star scores screamer before Arsenal
Reece James has sent Mykhailo Mudryk a heartwarming message after he scored his first goal for Ukraine ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Arsenal. The Blues will welcome Mikel Arteta’s side to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, and the 22-year-old winger will be desperate to feature and continue his rich vein of form.
On Tuesday night, Mudryk scored a stunning goal to secure his country a 3-1 win over Malta in a crucial European Championship qualifier. As England defeated Italy to book their place at Euro 2024, Ukraine moved above Luciano Spalletti’s side into second place in Group C.
Delighted to have scored his first senior international goal, Mudryk marked the occasion with a celebratory post on Instagram. Fellow countryman and former Shakhtar Donetsk teammate Giorgi Sudakov offered his support in the comment section – as did Kepa Arrizbalaga, Angelo Gabriel and Reece James.
“[Red heart emoji],” posted the Chelsea captain under the Ukrainian’s post. James’ comment quickly racked up over a thousand likes, showing just how much Blues fans also want to see Mudryk succeed for club and country.
Mudryk has come on leaps and bounds recently, with Mauricio Pochettino protecting the youngster from outside pressure. Earlier this season, the Blues manager described him as ‘unique’ player but reminded supporters that he needs time to develop.
“The life of these guys, when they are so young, [it] changed,” the 51-year-old said. “You pay big money, big change from where they came. Also it’s not about to arrive and to perform when you are young. It’s about to adapt, it’s about to help them to settle.
“Then the most difficult thing is to understand what these guys need to settle and to feel comfortable and to express their talent. If you ask me about Mischa, he’s a very talented player of course, but you need to go with him very slowly.
“Cultural and everything is completely different to Latin people, from different countries or part of the world. He’s now trying to be more open, to adapt and be more involved in every situation, not only on the field but outside also.
“I think he’s doing a massive effort to try to integrate himself and to understand better what it means to play like a team. He’s unique. I can’t find a player to say he is similar, I can’t remember one. It’s a good challenge for him, and it’s a good challenge for us.”

How Palmer and Reece James Have Complemented Each Other in Chelsea’s Lineup This Season

Reece James just returned to action for Chelsea this season after recovering from an injury that kept him on the sidelines for weeks but the synergy between the Chelsea Skipper and Cole Palmer has emerged as a pivotal factor in Chelsea’s recent impressive performance.
Their relationship on the pitch showcases a dynamic partnership that has been significantly impacting the team’s overall performance.
One key element of this collaboration is the strategic placement of Cole Palmer in the middle, operating behind the striker.
This positioning capitalizes on Palmer’s unique skill set, acknowledging that he may not possess the blistering pace or sheer physicality to excel in isolated one-on-one situations with defenders.
Instead, Palmer’s strength lies in his ability to receive the ball on the half-turn, exhibiting clever passes that ignite the team’s attacking prowess.
Palmer’s fluid style, characterized by his adept use of pockets and floating movements, creates a symbiotic relationship with Reece James.
James, a versatile right-back, benefits from Palmer’s strategic play by having the freedom to occupy the wing.
This tactical understanding not only maximizes Palmer’s strengths but also amplifies James’s impact on the game.
What becomes evident in this partnership is Palmer essentially playing as a number 10, operating in a role that aligns with his capabilities and enhances the team’s attacking dynamics.
By strategically placing Palmer in a central position, Chelsea leverages his playmaking abilities, allowing him to orchestrate the flow of the game and provide crucial link-up play between the midfield and the strikers.
The tactical harmony between Palmer and James is not just about individual brilliance but also about how their styles complement each other seamlessly.
Palmer’s intelligent movements and distribution empower James to venture forward with confidence, creating a fluid and dynamic attacking unit for Chelsea
