Chelsea ready to pay €20m for Serie A star, Chelsea list six defensive targets for the summer

Chelsea are ready to pay €20m for juventus midfielder
According to TuttoSport, Chelsea are plotting a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the summer transfer window.
The same reports claims that Chelsea are preparing to pay up to €20 million for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is also being courted by Newcastle United.
However, Tuchel could be eyeing a reunion with the 27-year-old. The low transfer fee should entice the Blues, considering they may need to spend heavily in the backline this summer
According to several reports, Premier League has approved Chelsea takeover bid from the Todd Boehly consortium yesterday and the UK government have since issued the necessary licences.
Furthermore, the Blues can now step up their pursuit of new players, though, Thomas Tuchel has already urged the new owner to act fast in signing players.
A number of players have been linked in recent weeks, and TuttoSport report that the Blues are currently interested in bringing Rabiot to Stamford Bridge.
The Central midfielder has been a back bone in the Bianconeri midfield under manager Massimiliano Allegri, but he could be set for a move away due to lack of contract renewal.
Rabiot could be prised away for a fee between €15-20 million (£13-17m), with his contract expiring in 13 months time.
Rabiot is a better replacement for Jorginho if he decide to leave in the summer.
Chelsea list six defensive targets for this summer
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are set for summer rebuild, and one of such areas is the defense, with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta could all leave on free transfers this summer. The Blues have listed out six possible targets that can fill such areas, after the club has now been approved to sign players.
However, the six defensive targets for Chelsea this summer are listed below;
Jules Kounde (Sevilla), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Wesley Fofana (Leicester City), Pau Torres (Villarreal), Jose Gimenez (Atletico Madrid), and Josko Gvardiol (RB Leipzig) are the six defenders on the club’s shortlist.
In my opinion, any of this name listed above could be a good replacement for either Rudiger, Azpilicueta or even Christensen, that are all set to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
