Chelsea: Newcastle to Bid for Neymar, Perisic Decides to Stay at Inter, Jorginho’s Captaincy Bid

Neymar
Neymar, a Brazilian offensive genius, has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea in the last week, but Newcastle United has opted to join the fight to get him despite the competition from other clubs. It has been reported that Newcastle United are giving serious consideration to submitting an exorbitant offer for him in the summer, most likely before his conflict with the club’s board is resolved. Following the club’s management unexpectedly sacked Leonardo, who was the club’s football director, sources at PSG have disclosed that the 30-year-old is not on the same page with the club’s officials. This comes after the firing of Leonardo.
The transfer market places a very high valuation fee on Neymar, and the price may go much higher if PSG were to contemplate selling him; nonetheless, Newcastle has all of the necessary funds to make the transaction viable. Chelsea may also have the financial resources to compete with Newcastle United, but given the quality of the team they already have, it is quite unlikely that they would put everything on the line to sign the Brazilian.
Ivan Perisic
Ivan Perisic is allegedly on the verge of extending his career at Inter Milan after hearing that his agency is in advanced negotiations with the club’s representatives over a new agreement. This comes after sources disclosed that his agent is in early negotiations with the club’s representatives. Perisic will sign a contract that is for a shorter duration in the summer, and he will need to put in even more effort to get his current contract renewed so that he may remain with the club for an additional period of time. Chelsea is continuing to keep an eye on the situation with the attacker in the hopes that the deal would fall through, which would give them the opportunity to make an offer for him.
Inter Milan are determined on retaining the player in the middle of the field because Filippo Inzaghi is of the opinion that the Croatian has a great deal more to contribute to the club. In point of fact, Perisic has been a rock of stability in attack for the last couple of seasons, and Inzaghi is not willing to really contemplate the possibility of playing without him in the next season.
Jorginho
Jorginho’s hopes of becoming the next Chelsea captain were dashed when Cesar Azpilicueta reversed course and decided to remain with the club rather than pursue a transfer elsewhere earlier this year. Jorginho’s hopes have been turned to ashes as a result of this decision. However, other supporters believe that since Azpilicueta will only be at the club for a limited time, the Spaniard should begin preparing Jorginho to take over the major role in preparation for when he departs the club for good. That way, there won’t be any room for speculation regarding who will take over as captain for the next campaign.
