Chelsea Doesn’t Need To Sign Center Striker; It’s Thomas Tuchel Who Has To Change His Style Of Play.

Chelsea’s fans have continued to demand that the club signs a center striker before the summer transfer window closes. Chelsea brought in Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, and they also signed a couple of players, although none was a center striker.
As it stands, Chelsea has not been able to replace Romelu Lukaku, who left Chelsea for Inter Milan on loan. Timo Werner has also left Chelsea for RB Leipzig. These two strikers have not been replaced by Chelsea. But the truth is, having center strikers will not solve the problem for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
What Thomas Tuchel needs right now at Chelsea is to change his style of football and start playing an attacking style of football. Timo Werner came to Chelsea, and he could not score goals as expected. Romelu Lukaku came to Chelsea, and he began to underperform. Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner would have performed excellently if Chelsea’s style of play favors the strikers.
Thomas Tuchel is a manager who relies mostly on his defenders to score the goals. Last season, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger were the ones scoring most of the goals. What Chelsea has to do right now is to redefine their style of football and used the attackers that they have rather than depending on set pieces to score goals.
Even if Chelsea signs Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, he won’t do well. Aubameyang may join the team, but he won’t still do well because of the style of play. Thomas Tuchel has to talk to his midfielders and instruct them on what to do. Jorginho hardly passes the ball forward. Ngolo Kante becomes indecisive if he gets into the opponent’s box. These are the things that Thomas Tuchel has to work on before the strikers will make it in the team.
Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount will score many goals if Thomas Tuchel instructs the midfielders on what to do. It’s not about bringing in strikers who will come and underperform.
