According to Goal, Chelsea are close on signing £80 million Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana this summer transfer window after Chelsea make an improved offer for the starlet.

However, there is already an agreement between the player and Chelsea and progress is being made towards completing a deal.

Chelsea’s first bid for the 21-year-old came in at £62 million. But Leicester held firm and pushed this back as it did not meet their asking price.

Leicester have held out for their full asking price, matching the fee Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire, and are now looking at replacements.

Chelsea willing to spend over 85m euros on De Jong

Sky Sports News reports that Chelsea are ready to sign both Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the event Barcelona allow both players to depart the club this summer.

Journalist Kaveh Solhekol reports that the Blues would be willing to match Manchester United’s 85m euros bid for the Dutch midfielder.

Man Utd looking at Kalajdzic

Sources close to the Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic claim he wants to move to Manchester United. Austria international Kalajdzic has entered the final year of his contract and is thought to be one of a number of strikers United are looking at. Austria Head Coach and former United interim manager Ralf Rangnick said Kalajdzic’s development would not be harmed if he stayed at Stuttgart. However, at 25, the player feels the time is right for a new challenge.

Man Utd want Ziyech after failing with Werner bid

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea after failing to land Timo Werner from the Blues in the ongoing transfer window, according to Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils reportedly wanted Werner but their attempt at the 11th hour failed as the German headed back to the Bundesliga to join RB Leipzig. And now Erik ten Hag now wants to re-unite Ziyech whom he had coached at Ajax. Ziyech has a contract with Chelsea until 2025 and is valued at around €80million.

Leicester agree deal to sign Smithies

Leicester City have completed their first signing of this summer transfer window, after agreement was reached with goalkeeper Alex Smithies. The former Cardiff and Huddersfield keeper was a free agent. He has signed a two-year contract.
